Job Description The Bottling Operator II position tends to day to day operation of bottling equipment. The position follows standard operating procedures and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Essential Job Functions: Bottling Line Become expert at every position on Bottling Line – Set the Standard Oversee direct and temporary labor on Bottling Line Assign daily work positions – modify as necessary Monitor and maintain productivity and quality goals throughout shift Oversee scheduled stretching and breaks Responsible for ensuring all finished cases are within Federal Compliance and pass Quality Control Ensure proper setup and teardown of bottling line per shift Coordinate scheduling conflicts with Bottling Supervisor Achieve weekly volume and productivity targets Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure quality Oversee end of shift cleaning checklist and support completion of Preventative Maintenance (PM) and W/M/Q/A Cleaning checklist Inventory Tracking Ensure proper stocking levels of all items required for bottling (labels, bottles, pens, gloves, corks, etc.) Assist on monthly physical inventory counts and provide detail on any inventory discrepancies Personnel Supervision Adhere to policies and procedures and set the highest standard through personal example for fellow team members Support Manager on efforts to hire, train, discipline and routinely counsel bottling team members Coordinate HR issues with Bottling Supervisor Support safety and GMP training of new hires and annual updates to all employees Ensure Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) is available, in good working order and properly utilized by team members, as proscribed Assist Bottling Supervisor Updating daily attendance logs Capture daily bottling data and update logs to ensure proper tracking Qualifications: Minimum High School Diploma or GED Leadership experience managing 5+ employees Strong work ethic and positive, “can-do” attitude Proficient computer skills and experience with MS Office Ability to multi-task while being detail oriented and quality focused Ability to work both independently and in small work teams Ability to obtain food handlers permit within 2 weeks of hiring Preferred Interest in or experience with beer/wine/spirits industry Warehouse/Forklift experience Manufacturing/Production line experience Physical Requirements/Work Environment Works outdoors/indoors Works in warm/cold climates Works in high places Works on wet surfaces Is exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals Works near moving, mechanical parts and lift truck traffic Must be able to move up to 55 lbs Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Lifting may be required.
