Description
I have a bluetick coonhound mix looking for a new home. UTD on shots and not neutered. This is Banjo. He turns 2 years old November 25th and is full of love and energy. Banjo is very loving inside and always wants to be with his people. He’s okay with kids and other dogs but is cautious of new people outside of the house. Though he’s never bit anyone, he has growled and barked at a couple of my moms friends(only men)he’s better with women. I bought banjo in hopes to train as my Service Dog but it did not work out, so he was kept as a pet. He’s an outstanding pet and a great protector, I think he’d do great hunting also. Banjo is potty trained, but has nervous 💩‘s, however he will let you know that he needs to go out. It’s just, if he isn’t let out THEN he may have an accident. He wasn’t walked much as we have two large yards for them to play in, so he pulls on a leash. He does walk nicely with a prong collar or a head halter though! He prefers the prong. Banjo’s biggest issue is his escaping skill and his manners when he does escape. This pup is GREAT at escaping any yard and while he’s out he enjoys barking and chasing adults, kids, men, women, cats, etc. He plays with dogs and I’ve never seen him be aggressive with one but he does scare people and does not listen when told to come. He believes when you chase him, it’s a game. Because of this, he must have a secure fenced yard, or only be walked. Indoors, this dog is an Angel. He just wants to cuddle and watch what you’re doing. Maybe ask for some pets here and there, but he’ll rarely annoy you with excessive licks and drool. He knows sit, lay down, off, up, no and speak. He can also balance a treat on his nose! Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are moving quite soon to a different state and cannot take him with us because of his escaping and reactivity issues. It’s extremely hard; this is one of two of my bestest friends in the entire world.. He’ll come with a head halter, ecollar, leash, long line leash, some food, his food dish, a few treats and toys, a normal collar, his harness and his chain collar.
