CCW Certification for State of Ohio. 8 hours. This is the state of Ohio's minimum required training needed to obtain a state CCW permit. ( 6 hours classroom and 2 hours range time.) Training includes basic handgun handling, handgun storage and safety, as well as basic situational awareness, home defense strategies and the Ohio state laws that govern the responsibilities and liabilities of a CCW permit holder.
