Description

I'm a life-long learner of philosophy, psychology, and personal development, wanting to help others. I'm offering four sessions of free Life Coaching in August. There's no catch, I'm doing it for fun. I am not a therapist, doctor, nor do I have any kind of certificate or licensing. Please seek professional help if that is where you are in your growth. This course is designed for you if you want to improve your personal, or professional life. The four sessions will be held in a group setting on Wednesday evenings, in person, at a to-be-determined location. Sessions will likely run 45 minutes to an hour or more if needed and I'm capping it at 5 people. (Any one under 18, please bring a parent with you :D) Here is what we will cover: Week 1: Clarity- Who are you? Week 2: Clarity- What do you want? Week 3: Mindset- What do you believe? Week 4: Mindset- How do you get what you want? Outline Week 1: Self-knowledge is the first step to understanding the role you are playing and your connection to the world and other people. We will discover the abundance of tools to become more self-aware. Eliot. For the sake of time, we will primarily use the Enneagram and Destiny Cards as conversation starters about identity. Week 2: Most people go through life uninspired and unfulfilled because they don't take the time time to know what they want (and/or believe they could never get it). Before you can get what you want, you have to know what that is. (Hint: it's more about who you want to become than what you want to achieve!) We will put ourselves in a resourceful state to bring to light all the outcomes that would really energize us in life. You will create exciting roles for yourself and outcomes that support those roles. Week 3: What stories are you telling yourself? Ghandi has stated, "Your beliefs become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become your values, your values become your destiny." Ginsberg. When you get your beliefs correct, everything else follows. We will talk about our existing beliefs, the origin of beliefs, and techniques and tools to change them if they are no longer serving us. You will identify what your beliefs are, if they are helping or hindering you in getting what you want, and create a plan or action to shift those beliefs if nessesary. Week 4: Now that we've layed a strong foundation, we must take ACTION. We will set in place tools to stay energized, organized, CONSISTENT, and overcome setbacks. You will create a plan for your life, year, month, week, day, by reverse engineering who you want to become. Ideally you will create accountability groups with your classmates and stay in touch after the completion of the course.
