FEMALE VOCALIST/FRONT WOMAN NEEDED FOR PARTY BAND! One of Asheville's most in demand party/corporate/wedding bands is looking for a female vocalist! The band is comprised of some of Asheville's most elite professional musicians. FACTS & IDEALS Fun, well-known, high energy, professional, successful, agency represented band! The band performs an average of 30 private events per year, mostly on weekends with the occasional weekday opportunity The new vocalist will begin rehearsing and training immediately to begin performing contracted events in 2023 as early as February Triple headers are rare but two nights in a row with travel isn't uncommon. The band rehearses on Tuesday evenings in Asheville 2-3 times per month depending on the season Band already has dates in the books for 2023 and continues to add new dates. Great and competitive pay per gig for 1099 independent contractors Band LLC pays for all travel, hotels, production, transport, insurance & business expenses including promotional materials and costuming Ideal Characteristics: Good work ethic (for example, learning his/her own part BEFORE rehearsal) Good memory Versatile, and/or the ability and willingness to try different genres Works well with others and can take direction (no divas/egotists) Good stage presence/interesting/engaging Can take constructive criticism (and use it) In good health (that is, healthy enough to be energetic on stage for long periods of time without getting tired/no heavy smokers/no alcoholics) Able to perform simple choreography Punctual Vocalists must have the ability to harmonize and remember their own parts Team player willing to assist with load in and load out alongside fellow bandmates and production company Professional and friendly demeanor both on and off-stage - at rehearsal, load in, sound check, performance and load out Ability to obtain a valid passport, or at the very least, provide a government-issued picture ID in anticipation of securing airline travel for flight dates Bonus - has a good sense of humor 😉 Double Bonus – bilingual in English & Spanish
