That being said, it is also a day to reflect on the FACT it was Republicans who ended slavery and it was Democrats who wanted slavery to remain. ............. Yes...it was a fact 'then'. So what are the facts 'now'? Name's change, but racism don't. We new land owners have a Holliday celebrating Thanksgiving with a race of people who we latter decimated, and now we got a holiday celebrating the destruction of another race. Talk about equal billing! America has a long way to go until it understands one basic ideal.....which is.....Actions Speak Louder Then Words!.
