UHS has immediate openings for a non-CDL driving position in the Las Vegas area. We are staging company and this position involves loading, transporting, unloading and some set-up/installation of household goods as well as some warehouse work. Driving for UHS will give you the opportunity to be a leader for our moving crew, interact with new customers, and grow within our company. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, no felony or criminal related background and the ability to comply with our zero-tolerance drug policy and smoke free work environment. The process starts with a resume, followed by a remote/zoom interview, followed by a 2nd in-person interview. Essential Functions and Duties: • Transport goods using a company truck • Lead the crew in loading shipment on to and/or off of truck. • Wrap household goods for transit • Perform packing jobs as necessary • Inspect shipment prior to loading for proper packing or wrapping, perform accurate inventory of shipment • Perform pre-trip safety inspections on truck of moving equipment, interior and exterior of truck, straps and tensioners, walk-boards, etc. • Maintain required documentation and paperwork for shipments, and expenses, driver logs • Lift and carry household goods between residence and vehicle • Other duties as assigned Skills and Abilities: • Must be able to drive a 26’ Box truck • Excellent communications skills • Ability to be on time and reliable • Ability to meet deadlines (Required) (This might include 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts, overtime and some weekend work as required) (Our standard shits are 8-5 M-F) Education and Experience: • Required: Valid Driver's license • Required: Good driving record (will be verified) • Required: Ability to meet UHS background standards (and affiliated companies) (collectively "CWM") is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer including disabled and veterans. • Wrap household goods for transit • Perform packing jobs as necessary • Lift and carry household goods between residence and vehicle • Perform work at warehouse as needed Preferred / Preference given • Applicants with a CDL • Driving and/or moving experience: 1 year (Preferred)
