Asheville’s premier dog daycare and boarding company is seeking qualified candidates for behavioral technician positions with room to grow. Employees will be responsible for supervising dogs during play and social interaction, cleaning, and basic canine care. Potential employees should have flexible availability, reliable transportation, and be able to lift 50 lbs. Job entails spending considerable time outside. Experience in a shelter, daycare, regular kennel, or other experience is preferred but not necessary. Pay is dependent on experience, and perks include paid time off (after 90 day trial period), and the ability to bring your own dog to work! Those that fail to do so will not be considered. Job duties include: *Monitoring interaction of dog playgroups *Basic care of boarding and daycare dogs including feeding and cleaning *Light daily cleaning chores Qualified candidates *Ability to lift 50 lbs and spend a good portion of the day on your feet *Comfortable with dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments *Responsible, dependable and punctual *Flexible schedule including weekends (work days are 4 ten hour shifts) *Ability to work with other individuals from various backgrounds *Prior dog experience at a vet clinic, shelter, or similar environment is preferred *Interested in learning about dog behavior and body language Job perks *Bring your dog to work (pending social evaluation) *Quarterly bonuses *Free daycare and boarding *Paid time off after 90 days *Eligible for a raise after 90 days *Opportunity to learn about dog behavior and body language Pay is dependent on experience, with opportunities for a raise after 90 day trial evaluation period. *Promotions to front desk and supervisor positions possible for qualified candidates after trial period.* Applicants with no prior dog experience should let us know why they would like to work with dogs for consideration.
