Transcend Dental Implants & Periodontics hosts The Tulsa Dental Hygiene Symposium 2022, A Balancing Act ! With proceeds benefiting Tulsa Boys' Home. This year's Presenter is Sarah Clark, RDH, IPDH. She is a 2014 graduate of New Hampshire Technical Institute’s Dental Hygiene program. With a passion for advocacy, Sarah went on to volunteer for the Maine Dental Hygienists’ Association holding various roles including President, through 2021, until relocating to North Carolina. She is also the only original board member for the non-profit the National Network of Healthcare Hygienists, working towards medical & dental integration. The morning session takes an interactive approach to learning about balancing stress. You will learn how to achieve total wellness through reducing stress, both personally and professionally. The afternoon session will dive into the effect of pH balance in oral health outcomes, giving us an alternative option to our traditional clinical approach in reducing oral inflammation. Or the patient that states they're doing everything correct at home, but always have dental issues and seem defeated? These patients are in our presence every single day, and while something just doesn't add up, it can be difficult to understand exactly what is happening, why it's happening, or how to address it.
