Overview
Mt. Laurel, NJ food manufacturing company with SQF Certification seeks additional quality control technician to work 1st shift (M-Th 5:30AM to 3PM and F 10AM to 2PM) under the supervision of our Quality Manager to monitor the day to day quality systems of our facilities.
Successful candidates will have:
- strong computer skills (Word and Excel)
- strong math skills (conversion from gm. to oz., averages, etc.)
- good documentation processes
- good organizational skills and attention to detail
- ability to communicate any issues/concerns to production staff to ensure that quality is being met
- previous experience - HOLD or RELEASE products from inventory general understanding of microbiological specifications for food products and have the ability to translate micro results to a Certificate of Analysis
- previous experience with sensory/organoleptic testing of food ingredients and finished products
- excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize the work load
- ability to work in a team to complete tasks including internal audits
- ability to provide training on GMP’s and Food Safety Quality Control functions to new hires and existing staff
- experience with SOPS, documentation and quality inspections
- ability to work occasional overtime and weekend hours or shift changes as back-up
