Drummer trying to start band with a funk/hip-hop/punk type feel to it. The idea is something like the Beastie Boys Mix-Up album (soul/funk-inspired, with a punk edge). The band could also have a jazz or blues type of swing like Digable Planets or G-Love. Starting this from scratch, so I got nothing but drums and practice space. If you sing, write songs, and/or play guitar, bass, keys, horn, let me now. Hoping to get a group together soon to give this a try and work towards playing some shows (local bars) by the fall.
