Join us for a collective healing event centered around the shared experience of grief and loss on Friday June 17th from 6-9pm PST @Babes of Wellness Studio in Compton.
We believe there is no one way to grieve. We believe that grief can include emotions like sadness, anger, and joy. We believe that creating intentional collective space to let the feelings flow can be healing.
We curated our event with the following experiences aimed at letting you connect with your heart, your body, and mind. While many events around grief center the ones we’ve lost, this event is focused on you and your unique experience in grief. We invite you to let yourself experience our different exercises exactly as you’re called. Some exercises might make you cry while others might make you feel joy and release. All of them are welcome and invited to this space.
The event will include:
Opening meditation - Led by Purple
Open reflection space - Led by Babes of Wellness founder Kat Novoa
Writing exercise - Led by Ana Sheila Victorino
A tea ceremony - Led by Dani Solorio Founder of CHB
A Spiritual releasing dance - Led by Indira
Loss and grief is a part of the human experience, but the last few years have accentuated this hard part of life for many of us. Whether it be the loss of loved ones to this devastating pandemic or the collective loss of black and brown bodies to the many unjust and senseless events of the past several years, to the end of relationships or jobs during the pandemic, we have all had to face loss in some way.
We invite you to share and hold space with us. This event is near and dear to our hearts as Ana Sheila, Babes of Wellness founder Kat Novoa, and at least one of our facilitators lost their fathers in the last 2 years.
