Nest On Main welcomes local artist Tamara Heller, the creator of Tamara’s Glass Garden. Tamara specializes in creating hand-painted glassware decorated with breathtaking floral details. On July 23rd, she'll be teaching a memorable acrylic Lavender Floral Painting Workshop. This class will transport you to the fragrant lavender fields of Provence, France! The lavender flower is also one of the easiest to paint which makes this class perfect for beginners. Each student will be painting on a 16 x 20 canvas using acrylic paint and Tamar will teach you how to create a beautiful lavender picture. Tamara Heller is the owner of Tamara's Glass Garden which makes hand-painted giftware. She was inspired to create handcrafted products after taking a class at Nest on Main with resident Nester and ceramist Raffa Vergata. For the past twenty-two years, Tamara was a stay-at-home mom which she loved, but she's currently an empty nester. She looks forward to bringing her creative talents to our Nest in Northport. *All Art Supplies Are Included * * Please Note : We ask that you bring a smock to cover your clothes or that you wear something you wouldn't mind getting some paint on. Although acrylic paint is water-soluble, it is nearly impossible to remove once it dries completely. Finished Paintings can be left with Tamara so she can glaze them. They will then have to be picked up the following week. Refund Policy: Seating for this class is limited and tickets are nonrefundable.
