Description

Forest Fitness is a unique 2-hour wellness experience that blends together calisthenics, mobility, meditation, Nature and Yoga. This class is led by Alex Julian and Prince Ekeson. First and foremost, we meet at 45 Sterling Street, West Boylston. There is a big parking lot here. You will know you are in the right place if you see Bamboo Garden, Central Mass Yoga, Manning Chiropractic, and Mantown Barber Shop. We will walk to either Gate 28 of Wachusett Reservoir, or the Stone Church. The class begins with a brief Nature walk and some meditation. After that, we get into mobility work and some Yoga. Next, we do strength training. This involves calisthenics like push-ups and sit-ups, but also things like inverted rows and pull-ups. Finally, we close with more meditation. This is not an advanced class. We do not practice anything extreme. The focus is on mindful exercise and connecting with Nature. Please bring some water, and a towel if you want. Alex Julian is a professional Yoga teacher with 10 years of experience, and the author of 2 books -- Drive Enlightened: The Yoga of the Road and Tree Yoga School. He enjoys working with special populations and helping people grow stronger. Fitness is his greatest passion in life, and he also has competed in bodybuilding competitions.
