TAMPA, FL — Travel lanes on Hillsborough Avenue under Interstate 275 will close nightly from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday, June 20, and Wednesday, June 22, weather permitting. Westbound drivers traveling on Hillsborough Avenue will detour around the work zone using Nebraska Avenue, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Florida Avenue to Hillsborough Avenue. Eastbound drivers traveling on Hillsborough Avenue will detour around the work zone using Florida Avenue, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Nebraska Avenue to Hillsborough Avenue. Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist drivers traveling through the area. Drivers should expect delays and congestion during these detours. These temporary closures are necessary for crews to perform drill shaft installation work associated with the I-275 capacity improvements project.
