Description
Just thought I would throw this out to see if anyone has the desire/time to devote to this special little girl. I have a Cream Legbar pullet, 3 weeks old. Cream Legbars lay BLUE eggs and are a pretty, brownish/grayish/cream color with little "hats" behind their combs! This little girl, however, was hatched out with a damaged leg and wing. The wing itself is okay, but the feathers stick out at odd angles on the right side, and the right leg is not straight. When she was born, she had true "splay leg," and we did a lot of physical therapy on her, and she got better, but now she's limping again. The other chicks are beginning to pick on her, and she cannot get up to the roosts where they go.
I am hoping someone might have the perfect home for her where she will not be picked on, perhaps with a companion such as an older, sedentary hen or even a duck. I feel she won't last very long with our robust, young chicks.
She is free, but I will need to know for sure she is going to a kind "pet home" and is not going to be carelessly thrown into a pen with other chicks or chickens. You can text me for pictures/videos of her, but I did put a picture of what a grown Cream Legbar looks like.
