What is 3v3 Lacrosse?3v3 lacrosse is fast-paced, free-flowing, and heavily emphasizes skill development and quick decision making under pressure. The format and objective of this tournament are to give players the opportunity to improve and compete in a rapid-fire environment and elevate their skills. Each team is made up of 5 players, including a goalie, so grab your friends, grab your sticks and let’s play! How will the games be structured? Each game will be played on half-field in a round-robin format. Each team is guaranteed one playoff game in addition to a minimum of 3 regular play games (a total of 4 guaranteed games). There will not be a draw control but rather possession will be awarded at the beginning of the game to the winner of a coin toss. Teams must transition the ball past the "clear line" to ensure any change of possession. For example, after a goal is scored or a defensive stop without a goal being scored. All players will be debriefed on the rules prior to the first games, so don't worry!! Can my daughter pick her teammates? Can she register without having a team? The answer to both questions is yes. Each team is made up of 5 players. Your daughter has the opportunity to choose her team and teammates beforehand. During the registration process, we will ask for their team name and for each player to list off the girls she would like to play with. If your daughter is registering as a free agent, meaning she does not already have a team and teammates, she will be placed on a team made up of other free agent players! Concerned about COVID? We are too! We are working diligently to ensure that all state guidelines will be followed and we will continue to do so until the big day. We will have a better understanding of what guidelines we are required to follow as we get closer to December and will be offering more information to our registered participants.
