Here are the top three stories in Strongsville today: The Cuyahoga County Council will not be approving the requested funding for the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center. The center requested additional funds from the council after experiencing a dramatic increase in children seeking services from the center — a 70 percent increase since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Each county council member has $6 million of discretionary spending set aside from the federal American Rescue Plan Act. Instead of funding the center, Councilman Scott Tuma wants to spend $4 million on rebuilding a Parma golf course clubhouse.
