Description
Popular area working band seeks a bassist to sub with the full band, and also play in smaller configurations of the group to add flexibility depending on the gig. The group is also looking to expand its playing range to include the Berkshires, central/eastern MA, northern CT, southern VT/ NH, etc. Music includes country classis by Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Lefty Frizzell, Hank Williams, Ernest Tubb, etc.; non-classic country includes music by The Band, the Decembrists, Turnpike Troubadours, Justin Townes Earle, western swing arrangements, originals, etc. Bassist should be familiar with/experienced in playing the above and have the requisite ability, gear and attitude.
