You graciously offered to let me enter first because it was Father's Day. I somewhat confidently said, no, Father's Day was last week and that today was Juneteenth. You seemed a bit puzzled - and, as it turns out, rightfully so! I am so sorry (and embarrassed) for befuddling you and your timetable. Today is (was) Father's Day! And you were right to buy the pastries. Apologetically and sheepishly, a non-father :-)
