I just moved to Philadelphia from Boston and don’t know anybody here yet. In the evenings I started going into Rittenhouse Park with a book.
You sat on the bench next to me, reading your own book, and for the next 30 minutes I couldn’t make up my mind about starting a conversation. And when you left, I could swear you were thinking the same thing. You are an African American woman in your late 20s or early 30s.
I’m still going to the park in the evening
