At the beginning of the shut down, I thought it would be a great idea to start an organic garden. We built 3 raised beds, roughly 5x5, and I had a truckload of organic soil delivered. We closed it in with a cute wrought iron fence to protect my future bounty from neighborhood wildlife, and because I'm terrified of snakes I put pea gravel all around the beds. It looked lovely AND it was a great idea - but I'm a plant murderer.
While I kill regular plants, my beds right now are loaded with 4 ft tall amaranth. Probably because I recently paid someone to install drip lines to water my garden so it could not possibly be blamed on me.
I am looking for someone to 1) whip the area into good shape, and 2) get some stuff going, (if anything can even grow this time of year in FL) and 3) to teach me how to have a garden.
Obviously, this is a part-time gig. I am very limited in my time, but once it's going well - I could devote a few minutes per day to following YOUR directions. Yes. I know there are books and YouTube videos, but I'm already back-logged in stuff I NEED to learn/study. This would take low priority - PLUS, I'm a SHOW ME kind of gal!
Only interested in ORGANIC. Depending on your availability I could put sweat equity into helping you with the heavy lifting to get it cleaned up. Lots of variables, but I'm open. I really want this to be successful even if my only claim to fame here is getting the right person!
