ISO dog over 4 years old prefer smaller

We lost our dog recently and my daughter is truly upset and we are ISO a new dog for her. Smaller breeds are better for where we live but if the dog is older that is fine too. Just need to be able to keep them inside and fairly calm when there are neighbors outside. Anything is welcome and will pay rehoming fee that's fair. Please contact Jackie or Jamie
