Jacksonville has not done anything but “study” the problems with race in my lifetime! The moncrief area is still the heroin center, for 40 years, the civil war monuments are NOT anything but intimidation statues, the police are not interested in oversight, and the good-old-boy city officials enrich themselves at every opportunity! To deny that republicans have attempted to install Authoritarianism is not a viable defense for you Fascists. Desantis is trying to be the Neo-Hitler by pandering to semiliterate racists; trumpeters. His actions are indefensible. He is intentionally spreading hatred of immigrants and exalting White Power. Our national schism is rapidly coming to a crux. Will Americans choose The Rule of Law, or Fascism as the way forward? The Justice Department will have a big say. There will be indictments but the problem will be getting a jury without a hidden maga member to hang the verdicts. There will be some convictions but will the mob-boss be one? Only time will tell. What will YOU do? Support Justice or support nazis, because that IS the choice. In Jacksonville we have our own White Supremacy problem. DAR statues were placed strictly for purposes of intimidation in an attempt to rewrite history that Southerners were honorable gentlemen who loved their slaves and were loved in return. Mule muffins! Nothing is further from the truth. The statues must be removed because they are the “salt in the wound” of our national Civil War disgrace. Treason cannot be rebranded as “Honorable…” anything! Stop pretending! So, Jacksonville also struggles with a racist Sheriffs Office that refuses accountability, even the civilian oversight severely needed! We struggle with City Council members that secretly wear white sheets by supporting the false narrative of “Southern Honorable Heritage”. When you make any thin excuse to not remove racist tokens of suppression then: “There’s your sign!” The upper echelon administration in Jacksonville has devised a scheme to make themselves extremely comfortable in their retirement. Former sheriff Williams made $187k, but Pat Ivey gets installed at $211k! They regularly escalate their salaries in the last 3 years because retirement is based on those last 3 years, at 60%!! That’s one reason Jacksonville has such a budgetary problem with paying out the tremendous amounts going to the past administrations upper echelon. They give themselves salaries they do not deserve or honestly earn, amounts far above the average employee. How is your Social Security check compared to favored republican administrators, compared to the average city retiree? Are you beginning to see the picture? None of them are worried about buying gas! It’s a private fraternity, just for favored white boys, and you’re not a member! It is time to remove the current administration and their refusal to answer to their citizens needs! I’m personally tired of having someone do what the Party wants instead of what the majority of their constituents want. VOTE OUT REPUBLITURDS! YOUR DEMOCRACY IS ON THE LINE!
