WHAT: Jazz Trio backing female jazz vocalist seeking Upright Bassist. YOU: Upright Jazz Bassist w/ own transportation and time to commit to a long term project. College student with professional experience welcome. Must be available weeknights for occasional rehearsals and recordings. Must be available weekends for gigs beginning mid to late August. KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS: Jazz standards (Great American Songbook, Bossa Nova, Swing, occasional Pop/R&B/Motown, etc.) US: Jazz Trio backing up female jazz singer w/ management. WHAT: Seeking upright bassist to prepare for late summer and fall private and corporate gigs (and occasional monthly around-the-city venues to work out the kinks and gel as a unit). YOU BRING: Professionalism and excellent musicianship a must. Easy to work with. Ability to learn repertoire off recordings quickly and come prepared to rehearsals/recordings.
