This is a 4-day INTRO TO ALPINE BACKPACKING event that will take place in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho at the most picturesque time of the year: July 27 - 30, 2022. Experience the serene beauty of alpine lakes, dramatic granite spires, and stunning wildflowers while building new friendships hiking, camping, and eating delicious backcountry meals with a group of adventurous women. This event has an educational component, including daily lessons on navigation, multi-day backpacking tips, geology, leave no trace principles, plant ID, and more. Novice mountain enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to participate, a SheJumps bilingual guide is included for Spanish speakers, just be prepared to carry a 30 lb. pack and hike 5 - 10 miles per day. This trip will provide a breath of fresh air to daily life, moments of quiet self-reflection, quality conversation during group dinners, challenging mountain passes paired with rewarding summits among a small group of women.
