Storytime for our Littlest Readers - And Tango Makes Three

Kids

1100 Kingsbury Street,Austin TX 78703

24 July, 2022

Description

At this storytime, Austin Public Library will be reading And Tango Makes Three by Justin Richardson, a story about two male pengins that fall in love and start a family by taking turns sitting on an abandoned egg until it hatches at New York City's Central Park Zoo. We’re fans of the banned, and we think you should be too! Banned Camp is a partnership between Austin Public Library and BookPeople. Pease Park Conservancy is excited to participate in this program to help our littlest readers engage with the conversation around intellectual freedom at these early literacy building storytimes in Pease Park. We invite you to come together, engage with books that have been banned or challenged, and be part of the conversation. BookPeople and Austin Public Library will be in attendance to sell copies of the book and this event will be a fun and inclusive experience for readers of all ages. Learn more about the Banned Camp summer program by BookPeople & APL here. An American Sign Language interpreter will be there to share the book in sign language alongside the reader.
