This event will be a celebration of writers, books, readers, and ideas inspired by our deserts and Joshua Tree National Park. Writers Ruth Nolan and Claire Vaye Watkins will be key note panelists along with a impressive group of writers who will read from their works. These writers include Caryn Davidson, Susan Rukeyser, Richard Soos, and many more. This event will be held in the Sanctuary of the Joshua Tree Retreat Center, which is an octagonal shaped room with wonderful acoustics. Registration includes access to three special programs on Sunday. These programs include a visit to the petroglyphs of Coyote Hole, a special hike at the Pioneertown Preserve, and the class, Field Sketching for Non-Artists. Don’t miss out on this wonderful week- end of writers, creative exploration and outdoor adventures.
