Two longtime collaborators have a finished six-song EP and looking to fill out the live band. One member is a woman who sings, write lyrics, and will play synth live. The other member is a full-time music producer who can play bass or guitar depending on who we find. We have experience playing in touring bands & booking shows, etc. Seeking a guitarist (or bassist), drummer, and percussionist. We are seeking diversity in the band. Our recordings often feature harmonies from the lead singer so we’re looking for one person in one of those roles to sing those parts & blend well. Ideally we’d rehearse once a week. We have a spacious rehearsal space in Alameda with a backline already. We can send a link to our EP to someone who sounds like a good fit, so tell us about yourself & your musical experience. We love music, we consider ourselves eclectic with broad taste, but influences relevant to this project would be: the Raincoats, Deerhoof, the Slits, Broadcast, Talking Heads, Stereolab, Young Marble Giants, Can, Brian Eno We’re occasionally math-y but definitely not a prog band—medium skill level would be fine. We used some alternate tunings on the EP so we may want someone open to that, but we're happy to help anyone learn what we've done. We also understand the live show can be different than the album.
