As our mid-season concert, the Rome Symphony Orchestra has the honor of presenting the world-premiere of For Whom the Bell Tolls, a new opera by American composer, Brian Wilbur Grundstrom. For this special world premiere opportunity, this concert will pair the RSO’s professional musicians with professional opera singers to bring to life one of Ernest Hemingway’s best-known works into a new medium – opera. At this performance the RSO is also hosting a pre-concert lecture with the librettist, David Dorsen.
