Bobcat Equipment Catches Fire In Newton

NEWTON, MA — Newton Fire Prevention officials are investigating after a Bobcat machine caught fire outside the home at 45 Monadnock Road early Friday morning. Firefighters responded to the scene around 1 a.m. and found the Bobcat on fire, according to the Newton Fire Department. They were able to put out the fire quickly and no homes were damaged. Although the investigation is still underway, fire officials believe the blaze was caused by a malfunctioning part in the machine. No further information is available at this time.
