The Bridges Outreach Project Connect Service Fair, sponsored by Prudential, will be held at Newark's Military Park on Thursday, June 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This annual event will bring together 30 City of Newark social services and providers to support people experiencing homelessness in one location.
2022 service providers include: New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission's mobile unit, NJ State Department of Health, City of Newark Mayor's Office of Homeless Services, Newark Community Solutions, Newark Emergency Services for Families, Newark Community Street Team, Mental Health Association, and Soldier On. A full list of participating organizations can be found at www.bridgesoutreach.org/pcsf.
The Project Connect Service Fair allows Bridges to engage with people and connect them with crucial services. Bridges Outreach, Inc., the non-profit organization focused on demanding change and ending homelessness, will offer complementary lunches, hygiene supplies, clothing, and haircuts to attendees.
"We are thrilled to be collaborating with Prudential once again on this important event which represents numerous community-wide partnerships aimed at ending homelessness in Newark. Just as Bridges does with our Outreach programs, this coalition approach brings key services directly to the streets and streamlines processes for our most vulnerable neighbors," said Richard Uniacke, president of Bridges Outreach.
