LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Police Department reported several crimes that occurred in the area between June 9 and Thursday. Read below to see all incidents: June 9 A theft was reported from the 1500 block of Makefield Rd. at Pennwood Middle School. The complainant reported being forced off their bike and having it taken from them. The bike was later returned. An arrest was made at Yardley Road & Edgewood Road. Police stopped a vehicle for violations, which led to the arrest of the 56-year-old local man driver for DUI.June 10 A retail theft was reported from the 100 block of Oxford Valley Road. The manager of the store reported that days before, two unknown men entered the store and removed $1,206.57 worth of merchandise without paying.Saturday A report of fraud was made from the 700 block of W. Melissa Circle. The complainant reported accessing their Amazon account via a link they were sent. Upon clicking the link, it advised them their account was hacked and gave them a phone number to call. They called the number and were advised to send $2,000 in gift cards to reinstate their account, which they did.Sunday A theft was reported from the 1500 block of Quarry Road. The complainant reported unknown person, possibly more than one, removed their "Preserve Snipes" sign from their property.Another theft was reported from the 1500 block of Quarry Road. The complainant reported unknown person, possibly more than one, removed their "Preserve Snipes" sign from their property.Monday A theft was reported from the 1200 block of Creamery Road. The complainant reported unknown person, possibly more than one, removed their "Preserve Snipes" sign from their property.A theft was reported from the 1200 block of Ash Lane. The complainant reported unknown person, possibly more than one, removed their "Preserve Snipes" sign from their property.A theft was reported from the 1400 block of Dolington Road. The complainant reported unknown person, possibly more than one, removed their "Preserve Snipes" sign from their property.A theft was reported from the Unit block of Austin Road. The complainant reported unknown person, possibly more than one, removed their "Preserve Snipes" sign from their property.Tuesday A retail theft was reported from the Shop Rite in the 1600 block of Big Oak Road. Loss Prevention detained a 71-year-old local man for taking $13.95 worth of merchandise without paying. He was cited for Retail Theft.Wednesday A case of identity theft was reported from the 1500 block of Applewood Circle. The complainant reported unknown person, possibly more than one, opened a Bank of America account in their name. A case of fraud was reported from the 100 block of Iris Way. The complainant reported unknown person, possibly more than one, made five separate $1,000 transfers using Zelle from their bank account. A report of theft was made from the 1300 block of Dolington Road. The complainant reported unknown person, possibly more than one, removed their "Preserve Snipes" sign from their property.Thursday A case of identity theft was reported from the 1400 block of Ridgewood Lane. The complainant reported unknown person, possibly more than one, opened a Bank of America account in their name.
