Chester County Drops To Low Level Of COVID-19 Cases

WEST CHESTER, PA —Chester County has dropped from the medium to low level of COVID-19 cases, the Chester County Department of Health reported today. From June 10 to June 16, there were 122 new cases COVID-19, a 33% from the previous week, according to the tracking by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tracking system. In the last week there were nine hospital admissions this week per 100,000 residents. The CDC reported that 3% of the hospital beds available in Chester County are occupied by patients being treated for COVID-19. The county went from the high level the week of May 20 to the medium the week of June 3 and to low this week. The rates are calculated based on the increase of new cases and hospitalization based on 100,000 population. Of the 524,989 residents in Chester County, a total of 418,735 are totally vaccinated.
