PETALUMA, CA — Police arrested a man this week after he was accused of hiding a camera in a cat litter box in the restroom at home where a 17-year-old's graduation was taking place. Charles G. Korrell, 44 of Ross, was arrested after police said they observed footage of him placing the camera into the litter box at the home where the party was held. Korrel is the ex-husband of the owner of the residence and was attending the party on Tuesday, the Petaluma Police Department said in a release. Police were dispatched to the party at 6:40 p.m. after a Go Pro camera was found "discreetly" hidden in a cat litter box in the bathroom. The camera had been recording for about 30 minutes before it was found by an attendee. No one at the party admitted to owning the camera, police said. After police identified Korrell in the video, detectives obtained a search warrant and searched his home in Ross. Authorities seized more potential electronic evidence that was taken in to be processed and further examined, detectives said. Korrell was arrested on suspicion of "peeping" and taken to Marin County Jail. His bail was set at $15,000.
