Laguna Beach Residents Gear Up For Fête de la Musique Saturday

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Are you ready for a glorious night of music, art and dancing in Laguna Beach? The Fête de la Musique is returning to town Saturday, and residents are invited to come and be a part of the celebration. The Fête de la Musique is organized by Laguna Beach Sister Cities and is based on an all-night celebration of music in France, according to a city statement. The celebration takes place in various parts of the world every June in anticipation of the coming solstice. Marshall Aren Photography/2019 File PhotoThe year, the Fête de la Musique will be held at the city's newly-repaired cobblestone area, as well as the city's downtown streets. The day will kick off with a jazz band performing on the city's cobblestone area at 11 a.m., according to the city, followed by a 1 p.m. opening ceremony. From there, the celebration really begins. Residents can enjoy bands and belly dancers at the city's cobblestone area from 1:20 p.m. to 5 p.m., and live music on the downtown streets from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. For a detailed map on performance locations, visit the city's website.
