Description
LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The Laguna Beach Fire Department is hosting an ambulance program launch celebration July 1, and residents are encouraged to save the date and attend the free event.
The new city-owned ambulances are part of the city's new in-house ambulance transport service, which starts on July 1. After July 1, the ambulances will operate 24-hours a day while being staffed with two EMT ambulance operators.
Laguna Beach received its first of two new ambulances in March as part of the program, which is designed to shorten emergency response times in the city.
At the event, residents can meet local EMTs and check out the features equipped on the new ambulances.
No reservations are required, and light refreshments will be served.
The launch event kicks off at Fire Station #1, 505 Forest Ave., at 7 a.m. A separate launch event will also take place at Fire Station #4, 31646 Second Ave., at 8:30 a.m. the same day.
