Description
Retired guy playing mandolin and fiddle, intermediate level or so, would like to get together with other musicians to play stringband/old time/traditional music in the Albany area. Other mandolins, fiddles, guitars, basses, flutes, dulcimers, whatever, but basically treble clef instruments. I say to form a stringband, as that implies a commitment beyond just doing a casual jam. I'm proposing to select and learn tunes and practice them to the point we'd be able to paly them well and easily. Performing is OK in my book, but not my ultimate goal. Vocals are also OK, I can do lead and harmony vocals, but that isn't the "point" of this type of music, IMHO. If you like to drink and smoke in jams, please don't respond. I'm not a puritan but I think everything in it's place. I'm fully vaccinated, 2nd booster, so please be vaccinated also. I won't wear a mask unless God and the powers of the universe demand that I do! I've told you about myself, now your turn.
