In the good old days, when presidents got voted out of office, or had to leave due to term limits, they would do so in a dignified manner. It has been a tradition that shows respect for the office, respect for the republic, respect for democracy, and self-respect of the former office holders. Trump has no respect for any of those things. He is such a self-serving narcissist, that he has no regard for the American institutions that he would gladly burn down to serve his own fragile ego. Since Trump has refused to behave with decency, since he is being investigated on multiple fronts due to his malfeasance, he is very much fair game for all the negative comments that come his way.
