ABM IndustriesHiring: Grounds Keeper/Labored Location: Lakeland, FL Shift: Full TimeJob DescriptionThe Critical Facility Technician Apprentice assists the Critical Facility Technician to monitor and maintain all building systems and mission critical facilities equipment and other equipment associated with the raised floor environment.Essential FunctionsAssists the Critical Facility Technician with testing and rounds.Ensures strict adherence to critical facility work rule and safety procedures.Is familiar with all applicable Federal, State, and local rules, codes, and regulations.ResponsibilitiesAssists with the daily/weekly/monthly walk-through of customer facilities in support of data center and office operationsPerforms preventive maintenance on all building equipmentAssists, as necessary, with scheduling of preventative maintenance, contracted maintenance, and general maintenance with minimal disruption of building servicesResponds quickly to emergency situations and customer concernsEnsures Critical Facilities Technician, Contract Manager and/or Customer receives timely verbal and written operating reports that give him/her a clear understanding of the condition of the building’s critical systems and the present level of ongoing preventative maintenanceEscorts subcontractors as requiredHas knowledge of warehouse/inventory management principles and best practicesHas excellent interpersonal and communication skillsIs able to prioritize projects and has strong problem-solving skillsHas good research skills and is highly organized, with strong attention to detailIs able to work independentlyIs able to speak, read, and write EnglishQualificationsOne year of similar experience preferred.Must be 18 years of age or olderCategory: FacilitiesABM (NYSE: ABM) is a leading provider of facility solutions with revenues of approximately $6.4 billion and over 130,000 employees in 300+ offices deployed throughout the United States and various international locations.
