Female cockatiel named Sparkles is approximately 10 years old. Purchased as a baby in 2013. She used to be tame until we added a male. She will still step onto your finger but she is bonded to Rio. Rio is a male cockatiel and is approximately 8 years old. Purchased as a 1 year old bird. He is semi-tame but he is bonded to Sparkles. He will fly to us and sit on our shoulder or beg for food but doesn’t like to be pet much. He has a slightly lame leg and walks like a penguin. We believe he broke it when we first brought him home. It has healed well. Both birds wings are unclipped and need to stay unclipped because Rio has a bad leg and will be completely handicapped if clipped. He is an excellent flyer. Sparkles was clipped as a baby but she is a wobbly flyer as she hurt one wing when she was small but walks perfectly. They have tried to have babies but the eggs never get fertilized due to Rio’s bad leg. Rio sings a couple songs and says his name and “whatcha doing.”Sparkles is silent but the birds will tweet to each other when they get separated unwillingly. Birds are out all day and hang around cage except when Rio wants to be friendly. Birds come with cage measuring approximately 5 feet tall with play top included in height and 2 feet 2 inches length and width. Rehoming fee of $500 for all so they will go to a good caring home. Will not separate.
