Our client in the Bolingbrook-Woodridge area is seeking for an Experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team. This is a Direct Hire position, is a unique job opportunity for you to join a company that provides freight forwarding services across the nation. Pay rate:. Depending on Experience up to $34.00/Hr. Schedule: 1st and 2nd Shift Available! 1st Shift 7:00am to 3:30pm 2nd Shift 3:00pm to 11:30pm Job duties • Basic computer skills, • Reading work orders, charge parts used, and typing repair status • Completing oil changes • Tire replacement and wheel balancing • Preparing work plans after fully scoping out the issues with minimal supervision • Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts • Inspecting or repairing both drum and disk brake systems • Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, and clutches • Repairing or replacing engines and other associated components • Completing computer guided vehicle alignments • Running diagnostic tests and troubleshooting on diesel engines and vehicle systems, interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions • Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance • Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Shop, yard, vehicle environment • Requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and snow/ice conditions. • Requires lifting 50-75lbs • This job requires standing, climbing bending, and walking as well as excellent visual and auditory skills to be able to inspect tractors and clearly communicate with other shop personal • Employees should have their own tools Essential Qualifications: • 2 years of experience working on Diesel engine mechanic. • ASE Certification is a plus. • Prior experience performing diagnostics, including electrical troubleshooting and computer-aided diagnosis as well as reading electrical and hydraulic schematic • High School diploma as well as vocational training and certification from an accredited organization, or combination of schooling and relevant work experience • Adaptable to new equipment and a willingness to learn and be trained • Must be a motivated, punctual and dependable self-starter with good communication skills.
