OVERVIEW Lumen Brands is an E-Commerce company that is in need of part-time help for managing, receiving, packing, and shipping orders. We are a kind, courteous group of people, who work hard and stay in good spirits while doing so. We are have just relocated our company headquarters from Detroit to Chicago in April, 2022. While this post is for a part-time position, if you do well we will extend you a full-time offer after your trial period. We sell packaged food online, and you may find more about us at: www.lumenbrands.co We do not require a minimum education level required for this position. I care more that you are honest, motivated, willing to learn, punctual, communicative, and willing to work together. We are looking for someone to fill a part-time position 20 hours per week at $21hr + to start where the work will be a balance of general labor and tasks which are software-driven. There is opportunity for more for the right person. The job will start as a 1099 contract position for the first three months as a trial, and then an of full-time employment is on the table if you are a good fit, including paid sick days and paid vacation days. We operate during normal warehouse hours (8AM - 4:30PM, M-F). All scheduling will be done ahead of time, and we are looking for someone who is reliable and comes to work when scheduled, and on time. During our holiday season and busy times, we may need you to work outside of normal business hours, but will schedule in advance, and you will be compensated for extra hours. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. using our Finale warehouse management systems (we will train) 2. packing and unpacking shipments 3. managing kitting, assembly, bundling (we will train) 4. labeling items for sale 5. inventory counts 6. communicating over Google Business Email with the rest of team (we will train) 7. working on tasks together using our task management software Asana (we will train) QUALIFICATIONS (preferred, not required): 1. willingness to learn and to ASK FOR HELP 2. strong communication skills and willingness to work as a team 3. prior experience with warehouse management software 4. able to create processes in warehouse and best practices 5. very comfortable using a computer 6. ability to lift up to a 35 lb box 7. being on your feet several hours a day (there is also a desk) 8. being detail-oriented 9. a social security number or work visa You will be required to fill out paperwork, and we may perform an expedited background check - but having something on your background check does not mean we won't consider you.
