Mountain Jams is proud to present Pretend Friends for a free concert of progressive bluegrass.
Tight, right & genre-defying.
Pretend Friend is tight, right, genre-defying progressive bluegrass out of Wichita, Kansas. Releasing new music and touring since 2017, Pretend Friend sounds like the quick-pickin' offspring of Robert Plant and the Stanley Brothers. Their performances are high-energy, and each set is loaded with improv jams and harmonies. This free concert is sure to be a clapping and boot stomping good time.
Mountain Jams is brought to you through a collaberation of the Georgetown Business Promotions Commission, the Friends of the Georgetown Library, and the Georgetown Promotions Commission in partnership with the Georgetown Loop Railroad, Two Rivers Real Estate, and the Sweet Easy in Georgetown. Special thanks goes to Evergreen National Bank, Historic Georgetown, Inc., and the Buckskin Trading Company for their generous support.
Pretend Friend is songwriter and guitarist Grant Boesen, Kansas champion mandolinist Evan Ogborn, bassist and sound engineer Brody Wellman, and banjoist Garrett Briggeman.
