Description
France produces some of the world's best wines. Many renowned growing regions, including Burgundy, Bordeaux, Loire, and Champagne, are completely dedicated to terroir and tradition. The grapes planted in these regions are typically restricted to a few traditional varietals. This seminar will feature four wines from France's Loire Valley.: two reds, one white, and one sparkling wine, to give you a sense of the depth of LOire Valley wines. The colors, aromas, and tastes of these wines have shaped and influenced everything we appreciate about wine. Whether you’re a connoisseur of great wine, or simply looking for the best bottle to serve with dinner or give as a gift, join us to expand your knowledge and palate to a range of tastes and traditions unmatched anywhere else in the world. In every glass of French wine is a world of pure discovery. Cost: $50.00 per person (includes $25 gift card) Light appitezers accompany this event. Lean and with a fresh sandstone minerality, it shows green apple, pear, and white nectarine fruit and medium body. Sancerre, La Plante Froide, Domaine Du Nozay, 2019 The soils of “La Plante Froide” are poorer and stonier than those of “La Marâtre,” and its 35-year-old vines—among the domaine’s oldest—yield a wine of crystalline minerality. Saumur Champigny, Les Roches, Thierry Germain, 2019 Thierry’s style of Cabernet Franc emphasizes soaring red fruit aromatics, plush and silky textures, and racy acidity. Chinon, L'epee, Chateau du Petit Thouars, 2017 This organic cabernet franc from Chinon in the Loire Valley is earthy, spicy, and packed with bright red fruit flavors. It's refreshing and easy-drinking, yet deeply savory and great with all types of food. About Olivier Flosse Olivier Flosse is a 2X Grand Award Winner.
