We highly recommend you walk, bike, take a Lyft or public transit to this dinner. Expect cocktails at 6:00 and our speaker around 6:45 with a family style feast introduced around 7:00, prepared by our professional chef. Wines will be thoughtfully paired with the menu. ATTIRE: Attire is relaxed and informal. About Good People Dinners: GP Dinners is a community built around meaningful conversations and delicious feasts, a moveable social club for those who value authenticity, a better way to connect with each other. Our dinners are hosted at a wide range of venues in the Bay Area, at Camp Earnest near Yosemite NP and around the country and world. Every dinner includes a speaker on a wide range of topics and a chef prepared feast. To learn more about us, please visit our Founding Principles page. Please email us at least 72 hours in advance if you have any dietary restrictions and we'll do our best to accommodate them. OUR SPEAKER: Our new friend Stephanie Lepp is a producer and futurist whose work strives to hold up a mirror — inviting us to grow from what we see. Stephanie is the Executive Producer at the Center for Humane Technology, the organization at the heart of the Netflix documentary The Social Dilemma. There, she leads the podcast Your Undivided Attention — which is part of the TED Audio Collective, and has garnered over 10 million downloads. She's also working to bring the organization into new media. Infinite Lunchbox is Stephanie's studio for independent work. Her latest project is Deep Reckonings — a series of explicitly-marked deepfake videos that imagine morally courageous versions of our public figures. The project won two Webbys and has been exhibited in the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Spain, and the US. Stephanie is a member of the Guild of Future Architects. Her work has been covered by outlets such as NPR and the MIT Technology Review, and supported by institutions including the Mozilla Foundation and the Sundance Institute. For our July 6th dinner, Stephanie will talk about what she refers to as "pan-tribal politics.” Pan-tribal politics takes contentious issues like free speech and abortion, and asks: what is the perspective on this issue that the biggest ideological diversity of people could get on board with? Stephanie has been experimenting with Venn diagrams for this purpose: https://twitter.com/stephlepp/status/1473349262234689536 If you’d like to be in touch, you can follow Stephanie on Twitter: @stephlepp OUR CHEF: Our friend Brian Fernando is executive chef and proprietor at 1601 Bar & Kitchen.
