Hardy volunteers needed to tackle invasive species.
We will be removing Jubata Grass (sometimes referred to as pampas grass) in the drainage north of the parking lot.
The terrain is rugged with uneven footing, thick and brushy vegetation, with a steep slope in places. Expect to be swinging a pulaski, digging with a shovel, and/or using pruners to remove seed heads.
Bring plenty of drinking water and snacks as needed. Light refreshments will be provided.
Regarding Covid-19: If you feel sick or if you have recently been exposed to anyone with a positive diagnosis, please stay home.
Registration is required as we are limiting the number of participants.
Volunteers will meet our staff at the Gateway to Jenner Headlands parking lot off Highway 1.
