Job description Oxbow Pool and Landscape Contractors is looking for a swimming pool plumber. Training provided. We are looking for a consistent worker, a quick learner, and someone who takes pride in their completed projects. Want to be part of the growing Oxbow Team? Have some finishing plumbing experience? Responsibilities • Read plans and drawings to understand the layout of plumbing, circulation, and water supply systems • Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, and fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such as rulers and levels • Cut, assemble and install pipe and fittings with attention to existing infrastructure including suction lines, return lines, jet lines, and skimmer lines • Install schedule 40 PVC pipe from 1” to 6” diameter in different environments • Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and all necessary equipment for swimming pools using hand and power tools. • Successfully plumb custom, in-ground swimming pools from shell to equipment set. • Install new swimming pool filtration systems, including; pumps, floats, valves, fittings, pool accessories, heaters, filters, chlorinators, sterilizers, drains and all pool piping, according to specifications and plumbing codes. • Additional pool construction jobs as required to complete job. • Additional tasks as requested by supervisor. Skills • Proven experience as a plumber. • Solid understanding of water distribution and circulation systems in residential swimming pools. • Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as the ability to maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with our clients and support staff. • Friendly with a great deal of patience. • Ability to work independently. • Good physical condition with the ability to work in awkward spaces, tight spaces, working on knees, lifting, standing and stooping. • If you have repaired Pool Systems you can install them.
