Certified SCDNR Saltwater Fishing Instructor Training

We're looking for volunteers ages 18 years and older to lead saltwater family fishing clinics and participate in SCDNR fishing related outreach programs. These programs include: -Saltwater Family Fishing Clinics: Volunteers lead/co-lead saltwater fishing clinics from docks, piers, or the surf. -Walk the Pier/Dock Program: Volunteers walk designated fishing piers/docks answering fishing related questions, relaying SCDNR best fishing practices and passing out SCDNR fishing related publications. -Assist with Kids Fishing Tournaments and Kids Fishing Rodeos Volunteers from all along the South Carolina coast are welcome. We provide training, supplies and support. This training will be an in-person training and will include a Powerpoint and hands-on component. Volunteers are required to participate in this training! Please sign up to take this instructor training class. Information on the in-person training is below. Date/location of the in-person training: Goose Creek Recreation Community Center in the Activity Center; the room is called the "dance room". (More information about the in-person training will be sent out once registered and near the training date.)
