"Hams" have been instrumental in disaster and emergency service work for over 100 years. In the U.S., "hams" can be found in burn areas, flood zones and areas of high wind damage such as tornadoes and hurricanes. Currently, Polish "hams" are communicating immigration status reports of Ukranian refugees to their families and loved ones in the west. "Hams" bring the adage, "When all else fails, ham radio works" to life.
Come out to a park near you, pack some snacks and a blanket or chair and learn how you can become a neighbor helping an neighbor "when all else fails..."
